Holy Cow!!

So, it has been 2 years since I have updated anything on here. Not sure where the time has gone, but I have a pretty good guess. I can honestly say the at the last 2 years has been a roller coaster for our family. I sure wouldn't trade it for the world though.

FINALLY!

Wow! It has been a VERY long time since I have posted on here. I would like to say that I will try to post more often, but I can't make that promise. :) We welcomed our newest addition to the family on December 24th. Breckyn Sue Moore decided to arrive on Christmas Eve and in the middle of a snow storm. Normally the hospital is the last place I would want to be for Christmas, but she is totally worth it and the best Christmas present that I have ever received. As you can see, Addison absolutely adores her..........sometimes a little too much. I have to keep a close eye on the little mother hen or at least keep Breckyn out of her reach when I am not in the same room. The last 6 weeks went by WAY too fast, but I enjoyed my time at home with the girls. Now, if I could only convince Danny to let me make a habit out of the "staying at home" thing. The one thing that will be good about getting back to work is that hopefully we will all get back into a normal routine (whatever that is).......the adult interaction won't be so bad either.

" I Not a Baby!"

This is what Addison keeps telling me when I call her "Mommy's little baby." I know, I know, she isn't a baby anymore, she is a big girl and is now 2 years old. It is so hard to believe that she has been in our lives for 2 whole years!!! It sure wouldn't be the same without her. I remember people always referring to this age as the "terrible two's" and can totally see what they mean, BUT I am trying to embrace it whole-heartedly, because there are definitely moments that make all the melt-downs, temper tantrums, and back-talking (yes she already does all of these, BELIEVE ME) worth it. Moments when everything negative gets forgotten about (well most of it) are the ones we like to remember and share, along with a few of the not-so-nice ones.

The other morning, we were trying to get ready and out the door on time (which never happens) and Addie decided to throw her diaper at me because she didn't want to throw it away. I lightly swatted her diaper-covered tush in response. She looked at me and said "No mama, you know better." I honestly tried to stay serious, but I just started laughing and I couldn't help it. Apparently she does listen when I tell her things.........
As soon as I have more time, I will get birthday party pics up here.

"Gasses!"

Addie got some new Dora glasses a couple weeks ago at Target. She thinks they are super-cool! If I let her, she wears them all the time. I have to hide them from her or else she wears them around the house (inside), even in the car when it's dark. Everytime we get in the car she asks for her "gasses"!

Peanut Butter Eggs

I know there is so much more to Easter than Peanut Butter Eggs, but that is part of Easter that we definitely look forward to. Danny and I usually have at least one battle about who ate the last ones. :) Addison has followed in our footsteps and LOVES them too!

We had a great Easter and Addison got to go on 4 different Easter egg hunts..........Thank God that she didn't get candy in all of the eggs. Both Grandma Sue and Memaw put money in some of them. Thanks! :) She definitely didn't like the Easter bunny enough to touch, but decided to sit by her (only if mom or Bailey was close).

We colored eggs on Easter morning and she had a blast with that!

My Little Model

She's not always stubborn and sassy! :)

Cowgirl

I definitely knew this was going to happen.........I would get busy and totally space-off updating my blog. I just have to share a couple pictures of Addison wearing her cowboy boots. They are a little big for her still, so I try to keep them hidden from her for the most part because she has a rough time walking in them. If she spots them though, she begs to wear her "boy boots."
